    Why not stop by Diamond Lake if you're passing through these parts. Lakes? Sure, Thompson Lake is in close proximity; lots of people from Bozeman come here. You can catch a sight of Gallatin Peak from Diamond Lake, and everybody close by loves skiing at Big Sky.
Get wet paddling on Gallatin River, and Beaverhead is a good place to get some rest. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff near Diamond Lake. The slopes of Moonlight Basin are so inviting
 
   nobody can resist, and going for a hike on the Divide Trail is always a splendid adventure. Near Diamond Lake you hit upon the Eldridge Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail; you can stay the night at Castle Rock Inn.
Diamond Lake is a location that is quite waterless typically; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. There are other spots here than Diamond Lake, for
 
               example Chilled Lakes, and a great nearby hotel is Arrowhead. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Diamond Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Elkhorn is a splendid site for that, and there are brilliant spots to look at along the Wapiti Creek Trail.
For the period of the days of summer at Diamond Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Diamond Lake during the winter mostly fall into the 10's.

There?s this really neat hike a few miles away from us in Big Sky. It starts out near a small pond called Moose Lake, follows a path up some dense forest for a couple of miles, then opens up into these huge rolling meadows surrounded by Cedar Mountain, Pioneer Mountain, and Lone Mountain with a great view of Sphinx Mountain in the distance....
