The warmest time of the year at Diamond Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and the nighttime is a tad colder of course, typically in the 40's. If the weather is       delightful here at Diamond Lake, you can go for a hike along the Haystack Mountain Trail, and Diamond Lake is a magnificent place to visit for more than one day, Straight Creek Campground is a magnificent place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. On a brilliant day at Diamond Lake you can take a hike along the Larch Hill Trail, and paddling on Flathead River - South Fork is so much fun. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. From Diamond                  Lake you get a splendid panorama of Amphitheatre Mountain, and if you need a site to stay Bridge Street Cottages is a good choice. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Lewis Range. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Hermit Lake, and South Fork Campground is a wonderful local campground. This lake is one of the great places here in the Lewis Range.
