It's always fun to stop by Deer Lake. Here at Deer Lake you'll perhaps meet some folks from Bozeman; Rainbow Ranch Lodge is a good place to get some rest. A great close by hotel is Lodge at Big Sky, and Castle Rock Inn is a wonderful campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Gallatin River; if you came for an overnight stay Elkhorn is a magnificent spot to camp. Deer Lake is a location

| | that is rather dried out usually; most of the rain falls through May while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is delightful here at Deer Lake, you can go for a hike along the Wapiti Ridge Trail; the snow is fine at Moonlight Basin. Hiking along the Divide Trail is wonderful fun, and while you're here, you could also have a look at scenic Moon Lake. Man, is there loads of cool stuff to do | |

at Deer Lake you can catch a glimpse of Jumbo Mountain. Through the summer months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Deer Lake with night lows in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Deer Lake temperatures sink to the 10's.
