What a place this is for outdoors folks. Kristianna Mountain Homes is a magnificent spot to get some rest. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Deep Lake. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through       the wintertime temperatures at Deep Lake plunge into the 10's. Homes Lake is a fine lake next to Deep Lake, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Elk Mountain National Recreation Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Grave Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Deep Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Rock Lake Campground is a tremendous local campground. Deep Lake is pretty dried up frequently; the month with                  most of the rain is June, and March is the month with the least moisture.
