There's delightful hiking along the McCabe Lake Creek Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Deadmans Lake has to offer, you can camp at Blackfoot Canyon Campground. This place, the Lewis Range, has so much outdoors fun things. One of the dominant features of the surroundings of Deadmans Lake is Marcum Mountain, and you can run the rapids of Blackfoot River - North Fork. During       the days of summer at Deadmans Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Deadmans Lake are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Mineral Creek Trail, and a great location for whitewater paddling is Blackfoot River. Good hiking is available along the McDermott Trail, and you can stay the night at Big Nelson Campground. Deadmans Lake gets very little rain; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow; July is the month with the least moisture.
