Do stop by Deadmans Lake while you're in this part of Montana. This lake is located in the wonderful Lewis Range. Deadmans Lake is pretty arid regularly; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow; July on the other hand is the driest. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Deadmans Lake; McCabe Lake Creek Trail is a great local trail, and camping at Blackfoot Canyon Campground is always a wonderful experience.

| | in the Lewis Range, just phenomenal. Don't leave Deadmans Lake without first going for a hike along the Mineral Creek Trail; the panorama of pretty Marcum Mountain is delightful. This lake is so wonderful. There's great hiking along the McDermott Trail, and Blackfoot River - North Fork is a perfect whitewater spot nearby. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Blackfoot River, and Deadmans Lake is splendid | |

enough to spend more than a day at, Big Nelson Campground is a splendid local campground.
During the warm months here at Deadmans Lake, high temperatures mostly get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's.
The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Deadmans Lake dip into the 0's. Just can't get enough of Deadmans Lake.
