     Lakes are such serene places, why not stop at Little Pine Lakes near Dead Lakes; a pleasant nearby hotel is Sawtelle Mountain Resort. Yep, outdoors cool things to do are truly abundant here at Dead Lakes. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Madison River, and Hilgard Basin is a great place to check out. If you came to camp Rock Creek Campground is a great location to do that; you can go for a hike on the Cutoff Trail.  
   This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Holiday Inn WEST YELLOWSTONE is a nice choice, and the skiing at Big Sky is nice.
There's tremendous hiking along the Wapiti Creek Trail, and everybody close by loves skiing at Moonlight Basin. Don't leave Dead Lakes without first going for a hike along the Lightning Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dead Lakes is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Beaver Creek Campground 1 is a tremendous
 
               local campground, and obviously, A journey to Expedition Pass is always fun.
You'll discover a pretty lake called Blue Paradise Lake near Dead Lakes; Dutchman Peak is scenic and can be observed from here. All through the warmest time of the year highs here at Dead Lakes get into the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's. Highs during the winter are usually in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Dead Lakes. Around Dead Lakes you don’t get a lot of rainfall; June is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is January.
