If you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can       always go whitewater paddling on Clearwater River - North Fork; Dalton Lake is a glorious site to visit for more than one day, Clearwater Crossing Campground is a glorious site to camp nearby. All through the long summer days at Dalton Lake highs are mostly in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows at Dalton Lake throughout the wintertime commonly sink into the 10's. From Dalton                  Lake you obtain a good panorama of Lightning Peak, and Trout Creek Campground is a good campground nearby. This lake is located in the wonderful Bitterroot Range. This lake is so wonderful. Super 8 Motel - St. Regis is a wonderful location to get some rest, and Clark Fork is a perfect whitewater spot nearby.
