The beauty of Dalton Lake is reason enough to stop by. For the duration of the warm days of summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Dalton Lake. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Dalton Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Dalton Lake. Stay the night at Clearwater Crossing Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is delightful on Clearwater River - North Fork, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Dalton Lake; Trout Creek Stock Driveway is a good local trail.
