A forest right next door to Cyclone Lake is Coal Creek State Forest, and hiking along the Akokala Lake Trail is great fun. For the duration of the months of summer, highs commonly are in the 70's at Cyclone Lake, and the overnight is a bit chillier of course, ordinarily in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at       Cyclone Lake dip into the 0's. If you need a location to stay Kandahar Lodge is a delightful choice, and at Cyclone Lake you always meet someone from Kalispell. This lake is so wonderful. Lodge at Whitefish Lake is a great spot to get some rest; you can have a fine hiking adventure along the Danny on Memorial National Recreation Trail. Cyclone Lake gets very little rain; most of the snow falls throughout December while April is generally the driest month.                  Going for a hike along the Micho Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and striking scenery and magnificent skiing is what you get at Big Mountain. Cyclone Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Bowman Creek Campground is a perfect local campground, and there are some good whitewater spots on Flathead River - Middle Fork. This place, Cyclone Lake, it truly has so much outdoors amusing stuff.
