    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Cyclone Lake. High temperatures at Cyclone Lake through the summertime months are in the 70's with night lows in the 40's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are usually in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Cyclone Lake. In case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Flathead River - Middle Fork. There's so much to do here at Cyclone Lake that you need  
   to camp here for a while, River Campground is a glorious place for that.
Looking for something close to Cyclone Lake? Elelehum lake is in the vicinity, and going for a hike on the Micho Trail is always a brilliant adventure. Cyclone Lake is generally a rather dried out place; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily December, that's the one that snows the most while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. You'll
 
               need more than a day to look at everything Cyclone Lake has to offer, you can camp at Bowman Creek Campground, and do take some time to check out Coal Creek State Forest while you're here.
This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Lodge at Whitefish Lake, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Big Mountain since you're here. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Kandahar Lodge is a good site to get some rest, and close by you locate the Danny on Memorial National Recreation Trail which is a good hiking trail. This is a popular location for folks from Kalispell; there is a delightful hiking trail nearby called the Akokala Lake Trail.
At Cyclone Lake you can make out Cyclone Peak, and in all probability you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Winona Lake is just a very short distance away.
