A great close by hotel is Moriah Motel, and going for a hike on the Louise Lake National Recreation Trail is always a magnificent       adventure. The warmest time of the year at Curly Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's while Curly Lake night low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. If you need a spot to stay Ruby Hotel & Sump Saloon is a great choice, and one of the principal highlights of the surroundings of Curly Lake is Manhead Mountain.
