While you're here at Curl Lake, you could also check out beautiful Kersey Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Fox Creek Campground is a tremendous spot to camp. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Clarks Fork Yellowstone for all you thrill seekers, and camping is available at Chief Joseph Campground. So much entertaining stuff near Curl Lake, truly fantastic. There's good       hiking along the Crazy Lakes Trail, and get your heart beating on the nice whitewater of Rosebud Creek - West. The amount of rain that falls at Curl Lake is close to the national average; June is when you get the most rain here, and October is the month with the least moisture. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Absaroka Range. Do pop by Broadwater Lake next to Curl Lake, it's a lovely lake, and the Republic Trail offers hiking at its best. So                  much fun stuff to do in the Absaroka Range, not enough time. Middle Mountain can be made out from Curl Lake; Sedge Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at. For the period of the warm months at Curl Lake temperatures are usually in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 30's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Curl Lake are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Curl Lake is one of the lakes here in the Absaroka Range.
