That right there is a load of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Bitterroot Range has it all. On a pleasant day at Lake Crystal you can take a hike along the Trapper Peak Trail; Lake Crystal is a glorious location to visit for more than one day, Rombo Creek Campground is a glorious location to camp nearby. For the duration of the warmest time of the year, highs commonly are in the       80's at Lake Crystal, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Lake Crystal descend into the 10's. Little West Fork Campground is a fine local campground, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Old Nez Perce Indian Trail. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in the Bitterroot Range.                  Not much rainfall falls here at Lake Crystal; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. All the outdoors amusing things right next door to Lake Crystal will keep you coming back many times. You're perhaps addicted to lakes, Lake Turbid is one of those nearby, and what would winter be without some skiing at Lost Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There is a wonderful hiking trail right next door to Lake Crystal called the Castle Rock Trail, and from Lake Crystal you acquire a brilliant vista of Bare Peak.
