While you're here at Crystal Lake you can take a hike along the Mount Marston National Recreation Trail, and Kristianna Mountain Homes is a good place to get some rest. Around Crystal Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; the wettest month of the year is mostly June, that's the one that rains the most; March on       the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Grave Creek offers some perfect whitewater. There's so much to do here at Crystal Lake that you need to camp here for a while, South Campground is a brilliant location for that. Black Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit, and the Fort Steele Trail is a good hiking trail nearby. If you go for the outdoors, you'll like Crystal Lake. If you get bored of Crystal Lake,                  you could also go to close by Dry Lake; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Sunday Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Through the warm days of summer at Crystal Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Crystal Lake drop into the 10's.
