After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Red Lodge is a good site to spend a night or two, and the Beauty Lake Trail is a fine hiking trail close by. Summertime highs at Cresent Lake typically tend to be in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's while Cresent Lake night low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 10's. There's no way anybody       can get bored here in the Absaroka Range. If the weather is nice here at Cresent Lake, you can go for a hike along the Beartooth Loop National Recreation Trail, and camping is available at M-K Campground. Cresent Lake is a beautiful lake in the Absaroka Range. So much exciting stuff to do in the Absaroka Range, not enough time. A brilliant nearby hotel is Cary Inn, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Red Lodge Mountain. There's just no                  way anyone can get bored here at Cresent Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Rock Creek; a great place to camp here at Cresent Lake is Buena Vista Campground. An average amount of rain falls at Cresent Lake; May is the month that gets the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. There is a splendid hiking trail near Cresent Lake called the Beartooth Highlakes Trail, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River.
