This lake is so wonderful. Hellroaring Plateau is right here at Cresent Lake. An average amount of precipitation falls at Cresent Lake; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is February. The Absaroka Range scenery is always beautiful. But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the Absaroka Range. Don't leave Cresent Lake without first going for a hike along the Beartooth Loop National Recreation Trail, and glide down the

| | rapids of Clarks Fork Yellowstone River in a kayak. Red Lodge Mountain is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood, and Elk Horn Lake is a good lake nearby. There's magnificent hiking along the Beartooth Highlakes Trail, and Buena Vista Campground is a splendid local campground. During the months of summer at Cresent Lake highs are mostly in the 70's; the night is slightly cooler of course, commonly in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are | |

in the 30's; night lows in the 10's for Cresent Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Absaroka Range. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Rock Creek, and M-K Campground is a brilliant campground nearby. Whohoo, so many enjoyable
things in one place! Cresent Lake is unbeatable! Comfort Inn Red Lodge is a tremendous site to get some rest, and lakes are such peaceful sites, why not have a look at Hellroaring Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Beauty Lake Trail, and if you need a place to stay Yodeler Motel is a fine choice.

Hunter Peak Campground
 | 14 miles away My family went camping at Hunter Peak Campground for many summers when I was a teenager. We stayed at the very large two family campsite, the deepest if I remember right next to the path taking you to the bridge. My grandparents now rest there forever and so do my memories of childhood.
