It's always fun to stop by Crescent Lake. Crescent Lake is a location that is quite dry frequently; the wettest month of the year is generally May, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This is a great vicinity for people who like lakes. Hyalite Reservoir is a lake in the vicinity, and you can stay the night at Blackmore Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Red Rock Trail is magnificent

| | fun, and Grotto Falls is a pretty site to go to while you're at Crescent Lake. Going for a hike along the Pole Gulch Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and why not take a little visit to Blackmore Creek while you're here. Through the long summer days at Crescent Lake highs are regularly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Crescent Lake are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. People from Bozeman love to come to Crescent Lake, and if you need a place to stay Bozeman - Days Inn is a magnificent choice. That right there is a lot already, but it
keeps on going; Crescent Lake has it all. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Bozeman. Lakes are wonderful; Hyalite Reservoir is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Crescent Lake, and if you're interested in hydro structures,
you can visit Middle Creek Dam. And that's not all you can do here at Crescent Lake. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Yellowstone River. There's so much to do here at Crescent Lake that you need to camp here for a while,
Palace Butte Campground is a great place for that. Don't leave Crescent Lake without first checking out Window Rock, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Gallatin River. You'll never
forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Bridger Bowl while you're here; The Mummy can be seen from Crescent Lake.

Incredible expert only skiing is available off Bridger's new Schlasman's Chairlift and on the renowned ''Ridge.'' Skiers and snowboarders who wish to ride the new lift or access this terrain, collectively known as Ridge Terrain, must have an avalanche transceiver (457 kHz). It is strongly recommended to have a partner, a shovel and expert skiing abilities in addition to knowledge of the terrain before venturing into the area which will have no hazard markings, no grooming and no marked trails. Ridge Terrain contains numerous steep chutes, rock cliffs, and snowfields which may end in unmarked cliffs.
