    A visit to Crazy Lakes is always a good idea. There's whitewater on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River for all you thrill seekers, and camping at Crazy Lakes is great fun, Fox Creek Campground is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Rock Island Butte can be observed from Crazy Lakes, and there's perfect hiking along the Lake Reno Trail. And that's not all you can do here in the Absaroka Range. After a long day outdoors Lupine Inn Red Lodge is a  
   magnificent place to spend a night or two.
Crazy Lakes is located in the Absaroka Range. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Clarks Fork Yellowstone; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Big Moose Lake. Yep, outdoors entertaining things to do are beyond doubt abundant here at Crazy Lakes. Good hiking is available along the Crazy Mountain Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay
 
               Crazy Creek Campground is a delightful spot to camp.
So many amusing things in the Absaroka Range, just phenomenal. Why not have a look at nearby Farley Creek if you're here at Crazy Lakes, and don't leave Crazy Lakes without first going for a hike along the Crazy Lakes Trail. Summer at Crazy Lakes comes with high temperatures in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 30's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's; after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Crazy Lakes descend into the 0's. An average amount of precipitation falls at Crazy Lakes; June is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is October.
