Do stop by Crater Lake while you're in this part of Montana. Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more entertaining things to do here in the Bitterroot Range. This lake is one of the great places here in the Bitterroot Range. And if that's not enough there's a load more cool stuff to do in the Bitterroot Range. A great nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel - St. Regis, and if you come at the right time of year, Clark Fork offers some great whitewater.

| | But wait, there's more to do near Crater Lake. On a lovely day you acquire a vista of Crater Mountain from Crater Lake; there is a pleasant hiking trail close by called the State Line Trail. Crater Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Clearwater Crossing Campground is a great local campground, and on a perfect day you can take a hike along the Trout Creek Stock Driveway. For the duration of the months of summer at Crater Lake highs are mostly in the 80's while overnight lows are mostly in the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are
in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Crater Lake. Camping at Trout Creek Campground is always a brilliant experience; French Creek is close to Crater Lake and is always a diversion to pop by. This lake is so
wonderful. Snowy Gulch is a pleasant place to go to near Crater Lake; the Cedar Creek Stock Driveway is a great hiking trail nearby.
