Crater Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Lakes? Sure, Arden Lake is in the neighborhood, and dry warm beds await you at Big Sky Resort. On a great day at Crater Lake you can take a hike along the Pole Gulch Trail, and camping is available at Palace Butte Campground. Through the summertime, highs commonly are in the 80's at Crater Lake while night lows are regularly in the 50's. Highs all through the winter are mostly in the 30's, and

The snow is tremendous at Moonlight Basin, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Gallatin River. Crater Lake is pretty dried out frequently; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. Why not camp at Blackmore Campground since you're here at Crater Lake, and if you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn Bozeman is a delightful choice.
