If you came to camp Palace Butte Campground is a perfect place to do that; if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Red Rock Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Yellowstone River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. Big EZ Lodge is a pleasant location to get some rest, and the Pole Gulch Trail is a magnificent hiking trail close by. | | is a lake that's in close proximity to Crater Lake. Crater Lake is pretty dried up usually; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. While you're here at Crater Lake you will meet lots of people from close by Bozeman, and not far from Crater Lake you'll stumble on Swim Lake which is a stunning lake. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Crater Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. | |
