After a long day outdoors Best Western Mammoth Hot Springs is a great place to spend a night or two, and Shooting Star Mountain is gorgeous and can be seen from here. Around Crag Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; through the month of May you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There's whitewater on Mulherin       Creek for all you thrill seekers, and if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Sportsman Lake Trail. All through the warmest time of the year at Crag Lake highs are frequently in the 80's while night lows are mostly in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows throughout the winter for Crag Lake tend to be in the 10's. Stay the night at Specimen Creek Campground, and do explore Leech Lake, it's a lovely                  lake. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort West Yellowstone Conference, and on a perfect day you can take a hike along the Fawn Pass Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
