Crag Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Don’t forget to go to Hilgard Basin if you're here at Crag Lake, and a pleasant panorama of beautiful Dutchman Peak is available. It is very dried up here at Crag Lake typically; June is the month that gets the most rain while January is mostly the driest month. Expedition Pass is a wonderful spot to have a look at close to Crag Lake, and you can have a splendid hiking adventure along the Lightning Creek Trail.

| | Crag Lake through the days of summer highs are in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. During the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 30's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Crag Lake tend to be in the 10's. You feel that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Trail. Madison River has a delightful whitewater paddling spot nearby, and camping at Crag Lake is great fun, Beaver Creek Campground 1 is a great local campground.
This lake is so wonderful. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Moonlight
Basin, and why not camp at Rock Creek Campground if you're here at Crag Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at West Fork Cabins & Rv, and Big Sky is a great local ski area.
Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Alp Lake; hiking along the Cutoff Trail is great fun.
