    What a nice lake Crag Lake is. You get a good sight of Dutchman Peak from Crag Lake, and nearby you find the Lightning Creek Trail which is a perfect hiking trail. Summertime at Crag Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. Highs throughout the winter are frequently in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Crag Lake. Around Crag Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; throughout the month of  
   June you get the most rain around here, and January meanwhile is the driest month.
The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Moonlight Basin; if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Madison River. A great site to camp here at Crag Lake is Beaver Creek Campground 1, and if you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort West Yellowstone Conference is a glorious choice.                yearn for a little side tour, try Expedition Pass, and there is a brilliant hiking trail nearby called the Cutoff Trail.
Crag Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Rock Creek Campground is a nice local campground; Arrowhead is a brilliant spot to get some rest. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. A pleasant tour to Hilgard Basin is a magnificent way to spend an afternoon. Lakes are splendid; Expedition Lake is a lake that's next to Crag Lake. Not far from Crag Lake, you'll stumble on Lake Ha Hand which is a lovely lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Big Sky is a very popular ski area close at hand, and going for a hike on the Wapiti Creek Trail is always a good adventure.

It starts out near a small pond called Moose Lake, follows a path up some dense forest for a couple of miles, then opens up into these huge rolling meadows surrounded by Cedar Mountain, Pioneer Mountain, and Lone Mountain with a great view of Sphinx Mountain in the distance....
