Nearby lakes? Sure, High Hope Lake is close to Cradle Lakes, and going for a hike on the Wapiti Creek Trail is always a magnificent adventure. Summertime highs at Cradle Lakes mostly tend to be in the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Cradle Lakes are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. the driest month is January. That right there is a heap already, but it keeps on going; Cradle Lakes has it all. You're perhaps addicted to lakes, Blue Danube Lake is one of those close by; Madison River has a brilliant whitewater
paddling spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Hilgard Peak is clearly visible from Cradle Lakes, and on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Cutoff Trail.
