At Cowbone Lake you don’t see much rainfall; the month with most of the rain is June, and the driest of the months is February. That right there is a load of fun things already but it goes on, the Bitterroot Range has it all. Goldstone Pass is a great place to stop by close by, and lakes are such calm places, why not stop at Darkhorse Lake. If you came to camp Reservoir Lake Campground is a good       site to do that. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Cowbone Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Miner Lake Campground is a great spot for that, and the Pattee Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best. During the months of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Cowbone Lake; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Cowbone                  Lake temperatures drop to the 10's.
