At Courthouse Lake through the summer highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Courthouse Lake. Any time is a nice time at Courthouse Lake if you like the outdoors. If you came to camp Colter Campground is a great place to do that, and while you're here,       you could also stop by wonderful Sourdough Lake. You'll stumble on a charming lake called Fly Lake near Courthouse Lake, and going for a hike on the Pilot Creek Trail is always a brilliant adventure. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Courthouse Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Soda Butte Campground is a pleasant place for that, and close by you come across the Thunderer Cutoff Trail which is a delightful hiking trail.                  The Absaroka Range scenery is always beautiful. So much cool stuff in the Absaroka Range, just incredible. A pleasant close by hotel is Super 8 Motel Big Timber; if you come at the right time of year, Clarks Fork Yellowstone offers some fine whitewater. And that's not all you can do here in the Absaroka Range. It's a magnificent idea to explore Glacier Creek, it's close to Courthouse Lake. Courthouse Lake is pretty dehydrated frequently; May is the wettest month with most rain; February on the other hand is the driest.
