Montana has many beautiful lakes and Courthouse Lake is one of them. This lake is located in the wonderful Absaroka Range. Good hiking is available along the Republic Trail; a delightful place for whitewater paddling is Clarks Fork Yellowstone. Courthouse Lake gets very little rain; May is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is February.
Having a magnificent time in the Absaroka Range is painless. This lake is so wonderful. Glacier Creek

| | flows through this vicinity, and why not camp at Soda Butte Campground since you're here at Courthouse Lake. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the Absaroka Range has to offer. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Courthouse Lake; Pilot Creek Trail is a great local trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Colter Campground is a good location to camp.

River is a pleasant whitewater spot right next door to Courthouse Lake, and Lake Aries is a nearby lake that you could pop by. There's splendid hiking along the Thunderer Cutoff Trail, and Super 8 Motel Big Timber is a great place
to get some rest. At Courthouse Lake through the summer highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while Courthouse Lake night low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's.
