Why not stop by Cottonwood Lakes if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Flathead River - South Fork offers some delightful whitewater, and camping at Cottonwood Lakes is good fun, Salmon Lake Campground is a good local campground. At Cottonwood Lakes through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in
the 20's while the cold winter nights at Cottonwood Lakes are in the 0's. Now, you may think that's a heap but there's even more entertaining things to do here in the Lewis Range. Have a great hiking adventure along the Pyramid Pass Trail, and Russell Gates Memorial Campground is a great campground here.
While you're here at Cottonwood Lakes you can take a hike along the Dunham Trail, and you'll meet a lot of people from Missoula here. Cottonwood Lakes is

one of the lakes here in the Lewis Range. Float down the rapids of Blackfoot River in a kayak; Morrell Mountain is beautiful and can be distinguished from here.
Cottonwood Lakes is a location that is pretty dehydrated regularly; January is the month that gets the most snow, and July on the other hand is the driest. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a perfect time here at Cottonwood Lakes. Take a hike on the Blackfoot Divide Trail.
