It is very dried out here at Cottonwood Lake usually; the month with most of the rain is May while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There's whitewater on Big Timber Creek for all you adrenaline people, and Glacier Lake is a perfect lake nearby. This lake is located in the wonderful Crazy Mountains. But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the Crazy Mountains. Murray Hotel       is a tremendous site to get some rest, and camping is available at Half Moon Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Grasshopper Glacier is a great place to stop by while in the area; at Cottonwood Lake you can make out Conical Peak. Summertime highs at Cottonwood Lake usually tend to be in the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's.
