At Cott Lake you don’t see much rain; the month with most of the snow is January, and July is when it's the driest. Blackfoot River is a great whitewater spot close to Cott Lake; there are fine places to explore along the Pyramid Pass Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty of folks from Missoula here at Cott Lake; going for a hike on the Blackfoot Divide Trail is always a tremendous adventure. A tremendous       site for whitewater paddling near Cott Lake is Blackfoot River, and nearby you come across the Dunham Trail which is a great hiking trail. Russell Gates Memorial Campground is a nice campground nearby, and Cottonwood Lakes is a nearby lake that you could explore. Summertime highs at Cott Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight                  here at Cott Lake. Yeah, come here to Cott Lake for a great time.
