So much exciting stuff in the vicinity of Cott Lake, completely astonishing. At Cott Lake during the summer months highs are in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Highs through the winter are ordinarily in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Cott Lake during the winter ordinarily drop into the 0's. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Blackfoot River, and camping is available at Russell Gates Memorial Campground.       At Cott Lake you don’t see much rain; through January this area sees the most snow; July on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Get dripping wet paddling on Blackfoot River; do take a hike on the Dunham Trail. You're sure to run into some wonderful people from Missoula here, and you can have a splendid hiking adventure along the Pyramid Pass Trail.
