So much cool stuff to do here in the Absaroka Range, too wonderful to be true. Upper Corkscrew Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Clarks Fork Yellowstone. Stay the night at Soda Butte Campground; great hiking is available along the Republic Trail. During the summertime months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Corkscrew Lake with nighttime lows in the 50's. Throughout       the wintertime highs are mostly in the 30's; night lows through the winter for Corkscrew Lake tend to be in the 10's. All year is a great time in the Absaroka Range if you like the outdoors. Corkscrew Lake gets very little rain; the wettest month of the year is usually May, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel Big Timber, and why not take a refreshing hike along                  the Thunderer Cutoff Trail. The peak of Hodges Mountain can be seen from Corkscrew Lake, and there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Stillwater River. This place is great, just explore all the cool stuff to do near Corkscrew Lake. Corkscrew Lake is a great spot to camp, Woodbine Campground is a great spot; hiking is a popular thing to do around Corkscrew Lake; Pilot Creek Trail is a great local trail.
