You can spot Castle Rock Mountain from Copepod Lake, and a good place for whitewater paddling is Clarks Fork Yellowstone River. Copepod Lake is a good location of normal rainfall; throughout June this area sees the most rain; the driest month is October. At Copepod Lake through the long summer days highs are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into       the 30's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Copepod Lake. This lake is so wonderful. East Rosebud Campground is a pleasant local campground; there are magnificent locations to discover along the Copeland Lake Trail. Beartooth Lake Campground is a brilliant campground nearby, and you'll find a gorgeous lake called Alp Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the splendid whitewater of Rosebud Creek - East; Red Lodge Mountain is a delightful local ski area. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Copepod Lake. Don't leave Copepod Lake without first going for a hike along the Granite Loop Trail, and a gorgeous lake like Cladocera Lake is a splendid site to visit. No need to travel far to have a look at interesting stuff like Castle Rock Glacier; going for a hike on the Upper Granite Loop Trail is always a good adventure.
