Many people like to go to Copeland Lake. And that's not all you can do here in the Absaroka Range. Red Lodge Mountain is a great local ski area, and in the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River. At Copeland Lake through the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 30's. Highs throughout the winter are regularly in the 20's while Copeland

| | Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. If you came for an overnight stay Crazy Creek Campground is a wonderful place to camp; great hiking is available along the Crazy Mountain Trail.
Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Crandall Creek, and there's great hiking along the Lake Reno Trail. Just can't get enough of the Absaroka Range. Camping is available at Lake Creek Campground. | |

You could also stop at Shrew Lake if you're here at Copeland Lake; it's nearby; the Lost Lake Trail offers hiking at its best. Copeland Lake is a good site of common rain;
during June this area sees the most rain while October is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something near Copeland Lake? Big Butte Lake is in the neighborhood, and Crazy Mountain is painless to spot from Copeland Lake.
