Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Bear Lake, and float down the rapids of Blackfoot River - North Fork in a kayak. On a great day at Coopers Lake you can take a hike along the Meadow Creek Trail, and after a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Deer Lodge is a great location to spend a night or two. During the warm days of summer highs here at Coopers Lake get into the 80's, and the overnight is quite colder of course, frequently

| | in the 40's. Through the winter the highs are regularly in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Coopers Lake.

This is a nice neighborhood for folks who like lakes. Spawn Lake is a lake in close proximity, and Coopers Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Big Nelson Campground is a great local campground.
This spot is so good,
just check out all the amusing stuff to do close to Coopers Lake. If the weather is fine here at Coopers Lake, you can go for a hike along the McDermott Trail; if you like swamps you're in luck, Bear Creek is right close by. This
lake is so wonderful. So many amusing things to do in the Lewis Range, not sufficient time. There's some flowing water close by, McDermott Creek is a stream you can pop by while you're here, and if you come at the right time of year,
Blackfoot River offers some perfect whitewater.
At Coopers Lake you don’t see much precipitation; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
