This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Coopers Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Big Nelson Campground is a fine place for that, and if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the McDermott Trail. If you adore the outdoors, you'll love Coopers Lake. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Bear Creek is right close by, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then,       we recommend Blackfoot River. Summertime at Coopers Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and the night is a bit chillier of course, commonly in the 40's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Coopers Lake dip into the 0's. There are other places here than Coopers Lake, for example Bear Lake, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Mineral Creek Trail. Not                  much rainfall falls here at Coopers Lake; the wettest month of the year is regularly January, that's the one that snows the most; July is when it's the driest. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Lewis Range. That right there is loads of cool things already but it goes on, the Lewis Range has it all. Coopers Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Blackfoot Canyon Campground is a splendid local campground, and the Meadow Creek Trail is a tremendous hiking trail close by. Coopers Lake is located in the Lewis Range.
