Cottonwood Coulee is a nice local stream, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Red Lodge. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Red Lodge Mountain is in the neighborhood of Cooney Reservoir. There's so much to do here at Cooney Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Cooney Campground is a brilliant location for that. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for       everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Stillwater River, and Super 8 Motel - Columbus is a good place to get some rest. At Cooney Dam right next door to Cooney Reservoir there are some interesting things to see; if you came to camp Itch-Kep-Pe Park Campground is a great place to do that. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a perfect time here at Cooney Reservoir. Get your heart pumping on the fine whitewater of Rock Creek. For the duration of                  the warm days of summer highs here at Cooney Reservoir get into the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. All through the winter highs are generally in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Cooney Reservoir.
