For the period of the warm days of summer, highs typically are in the 70's at Conklin Lake. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and night lows at Conklin Lake throughout the wintertime usually dip into the 0's. This lake is       so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Madison River offers some delightful whitewater. That right there is heaps already, but it keeps on going; Conklin Lake has it all. Conklin Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Cliff Point Campground is a pleasant local campground; the Rock Creek Pack Trail is a brilliant hiking trail close by. If you get bored of Conklin Lake, you could also check out close by Cliff Lake, and if the weather                  is good, you can go for a hike along the Dry Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Anglers Lodge is a fine location to get some rest, and going for a hike along the Tin Cup Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Madison River; since you're here at Conklin Lake it's a great idea to take a look at Antelope Basin. A delightful location to camp here at Conklin Lake is Hilltop Campground, and do pop by Anthill Creek while you're here at Conklin Lake.
