If you like lakes and you're in this part of Montana you can check out Coney Lake. Big Sky is a very popular ski area close by; the vista of beautiful Finger Mountain is brilliant. Not much precipitation falls here at Coney Lake; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. Coney Lake is near Expedition Pass which is certainly worth going to, and a great place to camp here at Coney Lake is Howlin'mad Moon.

This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Lodge at Big Sky is a glorious place to spend a night or two. For the period of the warm months at Coney Lake highs are generally in the 80's, and all through the night
it cools down to the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Coney Lake. And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do near Coney Lake. Echo Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and paddling on Madison River is so much fun.
