If you like lakes and you're in this part of Montana you can check out Companion Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful site to camp here at Companion Lake is Colter Campground; you can have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Pilot Creek Trail. Companion Lake is a beautiful lake in the Absaroka Range. But wait, there's more to do near Companion Lake. Not far from Companion Lake, you'll stumble on Dick Lake which is a pretty lake, and glide down the

| | rapids of Clarks Fork Yellowstone in a kayak.
Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Companion Lake. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 30's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and night lows at Companion Lake through the wintertime usually sink into the 0's. for a hike along the North Crandall Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. The annual rainfall here at Companion Lake is about average; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and October
meanwhile is the driest month.
This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water nearby, Sky Top Creek is a stream you can go to during your stay. There are other places here than Companion Lake, for example Star Dust Lake;
if you want to have a look at some interesting stuff, have a look at Alp Rock. So many enjoyable things to do here in the Absaroka Range, too delightful to be true. Hiking along the Republic Trail is glorious fun, and Sheep Mountain
is clearly visible from Companion Lake.
Why not camp at Soda Butte Campground since you're here at Companion Lake, and if you come at the right time of year, Stillwater River offers some delightful whitewater.
