For the period of the warm days of summer here at Comet Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 80's while overnight lows are typically in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows through the winter for Comet Lake tend to be in the 10's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Absaroka Range. Don't leave Comet Lake without first going for a hike       along the Republic Trail, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Stillwater River. Why not camp at Woodbine Campground if you're here at Comet Lake, and if you're here, you could also have a look at lovely Asteroid Lake. Good hiking is available along the Thunderer Cutoff Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Soda Butte Campground is a nice site to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Go for                  a hike on the Lodgepole Trail, and Boulder River has a glorious whitewater paddling spot close by. All the outdoors entertaining things in the Absaroka Range will keep you coming back persistently. This lake is located in the wonderful Absaroka Range. At Comet Lake you don’t see much rainfall; the wettest month of the year is typically May, that's the one that rains the most while February is ordinarily the driest month. So much entertaining stuff close to Comet Lake, completely striking.
