     Going for a hike on the Wapiti Creek Trail is always a splendid adventure, and dry warm beds await you at Sawtelle Mountain Resort. The peak of Dutchman Peak can be made out from Comet Lake, and camping is available at Beaver Creek Campground 1. What a spot this is for outdoors people. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Madison River, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn WEST YELLOWSTONE is a great spot to spend a night or two. During the  
   summertime at Comet Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's while night lows are usually in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Comet Lake.
It is very dried up here at Comet Lake generally; the wettest month of the year is frequently June, that's the one that rains the most while January is typically the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. This is a nice region for people who like lakes.
 
               Lake Ha Hand is a lake in close proximity, and you should beyond doubt dedicate some time to Hilgard Basin while you're here at Comet Lake.
There is a great hiking trail in the neighborhood of Comet Lake called the Lightning Creek Trail, and Comet Lake is close to Expedition Pass which is positively worth checking out. This lake is so wonderful. The Cutoff Trail is a great hiking trail close to Comet Lake. Lakes are great; Blue Paradise Lake is a lake that's in the vicinity of Comet Lake. Camping at Rock Creek Campground is always a nice experience, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Big Sky.
