Beaver Creek Campground 1 is a magnificent campground here, and you can catch a sight of Dutchman Peak from Comet Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Madison River next to Comet Lake, and going for a hike along the Wapiti Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Around Comet Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; the month with most of the rain is June while January       is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Yep, outdoors fun stuff to do are beyond doubt plentiful here at Comet Lake. Expedition Pass is a tremendous site to spend some time at, and camping at Comet Lake is fine fun, Rock Creek Campground is a fine local campground. Hiking along the Lightning Creek Trail is tremendous fun; do check out Alp Lake, it's a beautiful lake. Hilgard Basin is a glorious place to check out; if you need a site to stay Madison                  River Cabins & Rv is a delightful choice. At Comet Lake during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; night lows in the 10's for Comet Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Big Sky nearby.
