There's tremendous hiking along the Lightning Creek Trail; a great place to camp here at Clear Lake is Beaver Creek Campground 1. Clear Lake gets very little rain; all through June this area sees the most rain; the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Holiday Inn WEST YELLOWSTONE is a pleasant choice, and Dutchman Peak can be spotted from Clear Lake. Nearby lakes? Sure, Hilgard Lake is right next door to Clear Lake;

Yeah, come here to Clear Lake for a delightful time. Clear Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Rock Creek Campground is a tremendous local campground, and since you're here, you might as well stop by Expedition Pass. getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Madison River, and Sawtelle Mountain Resort is a delightful site to get some rest.
Good hiking is available along the Cutoff Trail, and if you've had enough of Clear
Lake, Tallus Lake is close by. At Clear Lake through the months of summer highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Clear Lake. Head up to Big Sky and strap some skis to your feet.

There?s this really neat hike a few miles away from us in Big Sky. It starts out near a small pond called Moose Lake, follows a path up some dense forest for a couple of miles, then opens up into these huge rolling meadows surrounded by Cedar Mountain, Pioneer Mountain, and Lone Mountain with a great view of Sphinx Mountain in the distance.... |
