If you are traveling by, why not stop by Clayton Lake. All the outdoors cool stuff in the Lewis Range will keep you coming back over and over. The views at Glacier National Park will blow your mind; in case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Swan River. For the period of the months of summer highs here at Clayton Lake get into the 80's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in

| | the 20's, and nighttime lows at Clayton Lake throughout the winter usually drop into the 10's. Going for a hike along the Tongue Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. There's so much to do here at Clayton Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lid Creek Campground is a splendid place for that.

is a nice place to do that. The yearly rain here at Clayton Lake is about average; November is when you get the most rain here, and July on the other hand is the driest. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves.
You could also take a look at Cliff Lake if you're here at Clayton Lake; it's close by, and hiking along the Pioneer Ridge Trail is perfect fun.
Clayton Lake is one of the lakes here in the Lewis Range. Yeah, come up here to the
Lewis Range for a glorious time. If you need a site to stay Bridge Street Cottages is a wonderful choice. Flathead River - Middle Fork has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Glacier Park Super 8 Motel is a magnificent location to get some rest.
