Columbia Mountain Trail
 | 13 miles away It is a really easy climb! I think your dog also can walk. Succes....I have hiked this trail in summer with little work. However, I Tried it in march-09 and found it very difficult for several reasons. The snow was only 1 of many things....It is a pretty substantial hike for most. There is a 4000+ ft elevation gain to the top with a long flatish section midway. It is occasionally used by dirt bikes, but I've only ever seen one on the trail. Great views of the valley and the peaks of Glacier National Park....Not grueling at all. A very easy hike. Also not a peaceful walk.... |
