Just can't get enough of the Absaroka Range. If the weather is wonderful, you obtain a fine view of Tumble Mountain from Cimmerian Lake, and magnificent hiking is available along the Republic Trail. You imagine that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. A nice place near Cimmerian Lake is Rabbit Gulch, and if you came for an overnight stay Woodbine Campground is a magnificent place to camp. Through the warm months at Cimmerian       Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Highs through the winter are mostly in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Cimmerian Lake. Cimmerian Lake is pretty arid commonly; during the month of May you get the most rain around here while February is typically the driest month. Paddling on Boulder River is so much fun, and Chippy Park Campground is a great campground here. This lake is so wonderful. Stillwater                  River has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot nearby, and don't leave Cimmerian Lake without first going for a hike along the Lodgepole Trail. And if that's not enough there's lots more cool things to do in the Absaroka Range. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel Big Timber is a brilliant place to spend a night or two. Cimmerian Lake is a beautiful lake in the Absaroka Range.
