Chilled Lakes is right by the Lightning Creek Trail, and there are plenty of people from Bozeman here at Chilled Lakes. Dry warm beds await you at River Rock Lodge, and one of the governing marks of the surroundings of Chilled Lakes is Gallatin Peak. The Eldridge Trail offers hiking at its best; skiing       at Big Sky is one of those things you just ought to do. During the summertime months at Chilled Lakes highs are usually in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Chilled Lakes dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Paddling on Gallatin River is so much fun; after a long day outdoors Lodge at Big Sky is a perfect spot to spend a night or two.                  This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Castle Rock Inn is a pleasant location to camp; Elkhorn is a wonderful campground here. Really good skiing awaits you at Moonlight Basin; there are other places here than Chilled Lakes, for example Diamond Lake. Chilled Lakes is pretty arid frequently; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful.
