Do stop by Chilled Lakes while you're in this part of Montana. This is a pleasant region for people who like lakes. Summit Lake is a lake close at hand, and if you need a location to stay Arrowhead is a good choice. Through the summer at Chilled Lakes temperatures are generally in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. Highs during the winter are frequently in the 30's with temperatures at Chilled Lakes dipping down into the 10's

| | during winter nights. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Wapiti Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Do set aside some time for Bear Basin while you're here at Chilled Lakes; Big Sky is a great local ski area. Not much rainfall falls here at Chilled Lakes; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Castle Rock Inn; there's magnificent hiking along the Eldridge Trail. | |

The slopes of Moonlight Basin are so inviting noone can resist, and the Lightning Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. Yeah, come here to Chilled Lakes for a delightful time. In case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always
go whitewater paddling on Gallatin River; why not camp at Elkhorn if you're here at Chilled Lakes. Beaverhead is a delightful spot to get some rest, and probably you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Thompson Lake is just a very
short distance away. On a pretty day you acquire a sight of Gallatin Peak from Chilled Lakes, and you'll meet a lot of people from Bozeman here.
