Why not camp at Elkhorn while you're here at Chilled Lakes, and after a long day outdoors Beaverhead is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. There's nice hiking along the Wapiti Creek Trail. Whitewater paddling is delightful on Gallatin River, and if you've had enough of Chilled Lakes, Summit Lake is nearby. Bear Basin is a delightful place here at Chilled Lakes, and a perfect place to       camp here at Chilled Lakes is Castle Rock Inn. That right there is loads already, but it carries on; Chilled Lakes has it all. Arrowhead is a great site to get some rest, and Moonlight Basin is a splendid local ski area. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Big Sky is tremendous, and wonderful hiking is available along the Lightning Creek Trail. Not much rainfall falls here at Chilled Lakes; May is when you get the most rain here, and February is when                  it's the driest. You're in all probability hooked on lakes, Mirror Lake is one of those nearby; this is a popular place for people from Bozeman. For the duration of the summer months highs here at Chilled Lakes reach the 80's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Chilled Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Chilled Lakes without first going for a hike along the Eldridge Trail; Gallatin Peak is clearly visible from Chilled Lakes.   Arrowhead, Big Sky 4 miles away Arrowhead condominiums are individual chalets built into the side of the mountain at the base of the Silver Knife run and adjacent to the Ramcharger high speed quad.
