Chessman Reservoir is a location that is reasonably dried up generally; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily May, that's the one that rains the most, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. On a pleasant day at Chessman Reservoir you can take a hike along the Sweeney Creek Ecology Trail, and camping is available at Park Lake Campground. If you like skiing, you're       in luck; Great Divide is near Chessman Reservoir, and Chessman Reservoir is not the only place close by, Quartz Lake is a close by lake. Near Chessman Reservoir you come across the Mount Helena National Recreation Trail which is a good hiking trail; you'll meet a lot of people from Helena here. At Chessman Reservoir through the days of summer highs are in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs                  in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Chessman Reservoir during the winter ordinarily drop into the 10's. If you came for an overnight stay Tenmile Campground is a nice location to camp; everybody loves Black Hall Meadows. This lake is so wonderful. Colorado Mountain can be seen from Chessman Reservoir, and a lake nearby is Park Lake. At Chessman Main Dam next to Chessman Reservoir there are some out of the ordinary things to see, and after a long day outdoors Jorgenson Inn and Suite is a fine location to spend a night or two. In case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Boulder River. And that's not all you can do here at Chessman Reservoir.
