If you came to camp Park Lake Campground is a good place to do that, and a lake close by is Chessman Reservoir. Chessman Reservoir is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Tenmile Campground is a wonderful local campground; Chessman Reservoir is not the only place close by, Park Lake is a close by lake. Chessman Saddle Dam is not far at all from Chessman Reservoir, and the Sweeney Creek Ecology Trail offers hiking at its best. Great Divide is a wonderful

| | local ski area; Holiday Inn Helena, Mt is a good place to get some rest. Not much precipitation falls here at Chessman Reservoir; May is the month that gets the most rain while February is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Chessman Reservoir you'll almost certainly meet some people from Helena, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Helena Great Northern Hotel. the period of the summertime highs here at Chessman Reservoir reach the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are commonly in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's
for Chessman Reservoir. And if that's not sufficient, there's heaps more to do close to Chessman Reservoir. There's good hiking along the Mount Helena National Recreation Trail, and one of the overriding highlights of the surroundings
of Chessman Reservoir is Spruce Hills. This lake is so wonderful. Don’t forget to stop by Black Hall Meadows if you're here at Chessman Reservoir, and Chessman Reservoir is right by the Bear Gulch Trail.
