It is very waterless here at Cherry Lake mostly; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February. The snow is splendid at Moonlight Basin. There's so much to do here at Cherry Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Norris-bear Trap Hot Springs is a great place for that. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Lodge at Big Sky is a fine location       to spend a night or two, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Big Sky. For the period of the warmest time of the year at Cherry Lake temperatures are frequently in the 70's with overnight lows in the 40's. Through the wintertime highs are generally in the 30's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Cherry Lake descend into the 10's.
