While you're here at Chalice Lake, you could also have a look at striking Dreary Lake; the Republic Trail is a glorious hiking trail close by. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Boulder River, and Chalice Lake is near Rabbit Gulch which is unquestionably worth visiting. Man, is there a lot of amusing things to do in the Absaroka Range. High temperatures at Chalice       Lake during the summer are in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Chalice Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Chalice Lake is a brilliant site to camp, Chippy Park Campground is a brilliant site, and if the weather is tremendous, you can go for a hike along the Lodgepole Trail. Chalice Lake is a location that is quite                  dried up usually; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with the least moisture. You definitely must have a thing about the Absaroka Range. Super 8 Motel Big Timber is a good location to get some rest; here at Chalice Lake you can observe Chalice Peak. Chalice Lake is a beautiful lake in the Absaroka Range. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Chalice Lake.
