At Chain Lakes throughout the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Chain Lakes dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. Any time is a good time at Chain Lakes       if you love the outdoors. While you're here at Chain Lakes you can take a hike along the Ralph Thayer Memorial Trail; a glorious nearby hotel is Kristianna Mountain Homes. This lake is so wonderful. A nice panorama of scenic Lake Mountain is available from Chain Lakes, and Big Mountain has great slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Chain Lakes, you'll hit upon Red Meadow Lake which is a stunning lake; a tremendous site like                  Red Meadow here at Chain Lakes is too perfect to miss. Chain Lakes is pretty waterless usually; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by Link Lake; paddling on Stillwater River is so much fun. The Whitefish Divide-Smokey Range National Recreation Trail is a magnificent hiking trail in close proximity to Chain Lakes, and why not camp at Tuchuck Campground since you're here at Chain Lakes.
