Camping at Dinner Station Campground is always a pleasant experience, and going for a hike on the Gold Creek Trail is always a magnificent adventure. Camping is available at Mono Creek Campground, of course you could also visit Twin Lakes if you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is located in the wonderful Pioneer Mountains. Chain Lake is a location that is relatively waterless mostly; the       month of June is the wettest with most of the rain; February is the month with the least moisture. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool stuff the Pioneer Mountains has to offer. All the outdoors fun stuff near Chain Lake will keep you coming back repeatedly. A great nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Dillon, and why not pop by Tub Lake Dam since you're here. Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! The Pioneer Mountains is great! Near Chain                  Lake you stumble on the Driveway Trail which is a good hiking trail, and if you've had enough of Chain Lake, Pear Lake is close by. For the period of the warm months at Chain Lake highs are mostly in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 30's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Chain Lake are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
