If you are traveling by, why not stop by Chaffin Lake. At Chaffin Lake during the months of summer highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are mostly in the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's while Chaffin Lake nighttime low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 10's. Chaffin Lake is not the only spot close by, Tamarack Lake is a close by lake, and do take a hike on the Castle Rock Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for

Chaffin Lake is pretty dried up ordinarily; the month with most of the rain is May; July is when it's the driest. Having a good time at Chaffin Lake is trouble-free. Lake is right by the Old Nez Perce Indian Trail. There's so much to do here at Chaffin Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Little West Fork Campground is a good place for that. This lake is located in the wonderful Bitterroot
Range. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! The Bitterroot Range is peerless! Tamarack Lake Dam is worth going to since you're here, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Trapper Peak Trail. You just can't picture the
amount of outdoors fun things the Bitterroot Range has to offer. If you need a spot to stay Townhouse Inn of Hamilton is a brilliant choice.

Tag Alder Lake
 | 17 miles away I venture up to Tag Alder every year. It is getting more and more difficult to get up there because of the new growth of trees from the fires of 2000. Once there it is beautiful lake. Another half hour hike up and you will be at the summit of the mountain. There is a nice camp area on North shore. Fishing is best in late spring using small spinners or powerbait.... |
