Cerulean Lake is located in the Lewis Range. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Bowman Lake Trail, and Cerulean Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Bowman Lake Campground is a great place to camp nearby. Cerulean Lake gets very little precipitation; December is the wettest month with most snow, and April is the month with the least moisture. Just can't get enough of Cerulean Lake. | | a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by; a magnificent close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - Glacier Park/Columbia Falls. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Lewis Range. A lake close by is Gyrfalcon Lake, and you can stay the night at Logging Creek Campground. This lake is so wonderful. close by flows, like Rainbow Creek, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Cerulean Lake; Boulder Pass Trail is a good local trail. There's wonderful hiking along the Quartz Lake Trail. Whitewater paddling is wonderful on
Flathead River - Middle Fork, and if you're here at Cerulean Lake, checking out Carter Glaciers is a must. Summertime highs at Cerulean Lake frequently tend to be in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures
descend down into the 40's. Highs all through the winter are frequently in the 20's while Cerulean Lake night low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's.

Not too hard to get to crossing Flattop on bits of an obsolete trail from Fifty Mountain, then skirt along the open hills sides near Trapper Peak. One scary steep hardpan ravine must be crossed where a slip would send you plunging 1000 feet down to Lake Nahsukin. An axe would be helpful, otherwise just run real fast so your momentum will carry you to good footing on the far side.... |
