Colter Campground is a wonderful campground nearby, and there's great hiking along the Republic Trail. High temperatures at Cavity Lake through the summer are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 30's. For the period of the winter the highs are commonly in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the       winter at Cavity Lake temperatures fall to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. You simply should take a look at Wolf Glacier since you're here at Cavity Lake, and Cavity Lake is right by the North Crandall Trail. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. If you came for an overnight stay Soda Butte Campground is a great location to camp, and a lake close by is Glacier Green Lake. Yeah, come up here to the Absaroka Range for a magnificent time.                  Courthouse Mountain is a peak you can catch a sight of from Cavity Lake; get yourself into a kayak and hit Stillwater River. Incisor Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to, and a great close by hotel is Super 8 Big Timber. This lake is so wonderful. All the outdoors enjoyable things in the Absaroka Range will keep you coming back time and again. The Pilot Creek Trail offers hiking at its best; glide down the rapids of Clarks Fork Yellowstone in a kayak.
