Castle Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. There is a fine hiking trail near Castle Lake called the Snowbank Trail; dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Yellowstone North. Castle Lake is located in the Absaroka Range. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Rocky Mountain Campground is a magnificent spot to do that, and if you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Gardiner is a great choice.

| | Range, has so much outdoors amusing things. There's some flowing water close by, Darroch Creek is a stream you can take a look at while here, and there's whitewater on Yellowstone River for all you adrenaline junkies. Going for a hike on the Rescue Creek Trail is always a great adventure; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Mulherin Creek. to Castle Lake. There's so much to do here at Castle Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Eagle Creek Campground is a brilliant place for that, and close by you come across the Jardine-Hellroaring Trail which is a good hiking
trail.
So much enjoyable stuff to do in the Absaroka Range, not enough time. All through the warmest time of the year, highs typically are in the 80's at Castle Lake. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. For the duration
of the winter highs are generally in the 30's while Castle Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. Castle Lake is pretty waterless frequently; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest.
