    The beauty of Castle Lake is reason enough to stop by. Castle Lake gets very little rainfall; through the month of June you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. So many fun things to do at Castle Lake, so little time. High temperatures at Castle Lake through the days of summer are in the 70's while overnight lows are regularly in the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's while the cold winter  
   nights at Castle Lake are in the 10's.
Hiking along the Jamison Trail is nice fun. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Castle Lake has to offer, you can camp at Grasshopper Campground. This lake is so wonderful. At Castle Lake you can spot Castle Mountain; Castle Lake is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Richardson Campground is a perfect place to camp nearby. Hamen Reservoir is a great lake in the vicinity of Castle Lake, and
 
               the snow is magnificent at Showdown.
Lakes are such serene sites, why not stop by Higgins Reservoir in the vicinity of Castle Lake, and a quick visit to Boulder Creek is absolutely a perfect idea.
